Excited...this is my first linky ever! Even though it is a day late!
We had snow for the first time this year in my part of NC. This of course required an early dismissal, 2 snow days and a 3 hour delay on Friday. Needless to say, not a lot of teaching/learning got done this week! We did enjoy the snow though...the whole inch of it!
Today has officially started my birthmonth! We have a standing joke that I don't have a birthday, rather a birthmonth because I love my birthday! So, the celebrating has officially begun!

I have finally finished all of my reading assessments for the middle of the year...yay! Talking about a marathon! However, my students have shown so much growth and progress since the beginning of the school year. I couldn't be a prouder teacher to hear other teachers talking about how well the second grade kids as a whole have grown since September!
Looking forward to finishing up poetry this coming week. My students have loved learning about the various poetic devices. I fully believe that alliteration is their favorite!
